- Deliver exceptional physical therapy care that supports patients’ healing, improved mobility, function, pain management and quality of life using evidence-based techniques aligned with IOC policies and procedures.
- Collaborate across IOC clinical operations team to identify, explore and continually improve patient outcomes.
- Follow IOC workflows and policies to ensure a safe, clean, and collaborative workplace and excellent patient experience.
- Collaborate with other physical therapy staff to maintain treatment rooms and gym (e.g., daily cleaning, stocking supplies).
- Greet and room patients.
- Build professional rapport and clearly communicate with patients to understand their needs, guide their treatment and monitor progress.
- Educate patients on the benefits of physical therapy and how it complements their chiropractic and massage therapy treatments.
- Evaluate and identify patient needs based on physical examination, medical history, and test results.
- Develop and deliver individualized plans of care and treatment schedules using manual therapy, strengthening and stretching exercises, ultrasound, and other approved modalities.
- Ensure plans of care align with prior authorizations, referral and insurance requirements.
- Outline and monitor progress against clear goals and expected outcomes for each patient, adapting plans as appropriate.
- Direct and supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) in the delivery of patient care, providing feedback to ensure compliance with IOC workflows and standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of electronic health record entries, reviewing and co-signing PTA chart notes.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards governing physical therapy.
- Maintain required certification, licensing and compliance requirements; seek opportunities for continuous learning.
- Build strong relationships with referral partners and community to support positive flow of new clients; participate in referral-building and marketing activities.

- Self-motivated and well organized.
- Understanding of the neuromusculoskeletal system, injuries and conditions and how to treat them.
- Understanding of Medicare/MA, Workers Compensation, Personal Injury (Motor Vehicle) and Commercial insurance requirements.
- Demonstrated problem-solver.
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
- Degree from a CAPTE accredited physical therapist program.
- Current Minnesota physical therapy license in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Requires movement around the office and physical manipulation of patients’ bodies and equipment; able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Uses standard office equipment (computers, phones, photocopiers) and gym equipment, ultrasound machines, and other modalities.
- Local travel may be required.
