Specialty Care is a national company based in Nashville, Tennessee, that supports over 350,000 surgeries each year in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. The role provides care in operating rooms, ICUs, and procedural areas.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Effectively operate equipment and prepare it within Specialty Care, hospital, manufacturer, and federal guidelines.
- Perform quality control and basic troubleshooting as needed and report all equipment problems promptly.
- Assist physicians during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and practicing aseptic technique.
- Assist in critical care procedures and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Use transfer lifts, transport equipment, and body mechanics to prevent injury.
- Practice radiation safety and other duties as assigned.
During procedures, the CCT may operate blood collection devices, monitor cell savers, and process blood to return to the patient.
Qualifications– Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in science or related field preferred.
- Previous related medical experience preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant, Hospital Technician, Hospital Clinician, Emergency Room Technician, EMT‑b, Critical Care Technician, etc.
- Basic Life Support certification prior to start.
- Valid driver’s license or picture .
- Ability to work on call and live within 30 minutes of the hospital.
- Focused on clinical quality and delivering the best results for patients.
- Adaptable and thrives in highly stressful environments.
- Excellent communication and basic computer skills.
- Self‑starter who works well independently and as part of the OR team.
