Registration Coordinator Medical

Pay RangeBase pay range: $21.00/yr - $26.00/yr.

Responsibilities- Register incoming patients, including scheduled, same‑day appointments, and walk‑ins; request co‑pays when appropriate; maintain cash receipts.
- Schedule appointments by phone and in‑person; handle general inquiries and transfer ring calls to appropriate staff; maintain current demographic and billing information in computer records.
- Manage lobby flow, including directing deliveries, checking patients in, placing appointment reminder calls, managing waiting list, and filling failed appointments (e.g., walk‑ins, crisis appointments).
- Monitor waiting room for patient flow and safety; notify appropriate staff if any hazards, spills, or other concerns are present; understand emergency procedures.
- Prepare charge tickets, verify insurance two days prior to visit on all patients and at each same‑day visit.
- Participate in performance improvement activities as requested.
- Scan and index patient registration, insurance, and consent documents into document management system.
- Maintain medical/dental records accurately filing documents, managing requests, and routing and uploading faxes and records into EMR and EDR systems.
- Manage general flow in registration area, including maintaining and requesting necessary supplies.
- Cross‑train with all NACC program front desk staff to offer relief coverage as needed, including participation in Saturday rotation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
- Education and/or experience:
High school diploma or GED and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
Proof of current COVID‑19 vaccination. - Computer skills required:
Internet software; spreadsheet software (Excel); word processing software (Word); electronic mail software (Outlook); and medical/dental health information software.
