** Job Description
** The Impact Finance Senior Accountant is responsible for performing advanced accounting functions for a large and complex portfolio of tax credit and private equity investments. This role is suited for candidates with strong expertise in investment accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
** Key Responsibilities*
* • Perform complex accounting activities and lead assigned projects with minimal supervision.
• Prepare and review journal entries and oversee detailed account reconciliations.
• Produce accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports.
• Analyze financial trends, resolve complex accounting issues, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data throughout the month end close.
• Prepare or review components of financial statements.
• Contribute to the enhancement of accounting processes, reporting efficiencies, and internal controls.
• Ability to work independently, manage complex tasks, and provide insightful analysis
** Basic Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience - Five to eight years of experience in financial accounting activities
** Preferred Skills/Experience** - Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications - Considerable knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulations - Considerable knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis - Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data - CPA or CMA preferred
