As the Loan Operations Specialist, you will provide support for all loan operations functions. You are responsible for ensuring the Loan Operations Department is functioning as efficiently as possible. You will do this by providing support for the lending function of the bank. Each day, you enjoy working with our Lending and Operations Staff, ensuring loan documentation is completed in compliance with Bank Policy procedures and regulations and the lenders are supported.
Being cross trained in all operations positions you will provide backup for our Operations Specialist and Deposit Operations staff.
You work closely with the lenders to prepare loan documents, upload, fund and follow‑up on new loans. Your ability to complete your work accurately serves you well as you perfect liens, file UCC’s, review appraisals, keep loan committee meeting notes and ensure documents necessary to facilitate loan closings are completed. Your organizational skills are utilized to track and monitor the loan portfolio on an ongoing basis for document exceptions, ticklers, insurance and collateral perfection.
With the goal of improving efficiency, you participate in new project implementations, concentrating on the loan operations and technology of the Bank. You build a network of relationships with peers to identify opportunities for improvement. - 1+ years of experience in Loan Operations
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Understanding of technology for wires, cash letters and other functions.
- Basic understanding of technology related to bank specific systems and software
- Understanding of banking, lending, compliance and industry laws and regulations
- Ability to properly handle confidential information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Windows skills
Experience with Laser Pro software is preferred but not required. Are you a self‑starter with the drive to build a successful support department? Do you have an understanding of Bank Loan Operations?
