Role OverviewThe Director of Finance serves as the property’s financial steward, executive advisor, and operational thought partner. This leader oversees all accounting functions, ensures compliance with brand and ownership standards, and drives financial performance through proactive forecasting, insightful analysis, and disciplined controls. Beyond technical expertise, the role requires a leader who can influence cross‑functional teams, communicate complex financial concepts with clarity, and build a culture of accountability and trust.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Leadership & Strategy — Guide the property’s financial direction through accurate forecasting, budgeting, long‑range planning, and performance analysis. Partner with the General Manager and Executive Committee to shape strategy and optimize profitability.
- Operational Partnership — Work closely with department heads to translate financial insights into operational action. Support revenue management, labor planning, cost controls, and capital planning with data‑driven recommendations.
- Accounting Oversight — Lead all property accounting functions, including month‑end close, balance sheet integrity, cash management, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting in accordance with brand, ownership, and regulatory standards.
- Internal Controls & Compliance — Maintain robust internal controls, ensure audit readiness, and uphold compliance with GAAP, brand policies, and local/state regulations.
- Team Development — Mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team. Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ownership & Brand Relations — Serve as a polished, confident representative in ownership meetings, brand audits, and financial reviews. Present financial results with clarity, insight, and strategic perspective.
