, to launch their career in the financial field. The Entry‑Level Finance & Payroll Specialist supports essential payroll, billing, and operational functions that keep our organization running smoothly while gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.
- Pay: $23-$25/hr depending on experience level (different then job title since it's 35 hours per week)
- Schedule:
35 hour work week of 8am-5pm Monday-Wednesday, 8am-4pm on Thursday; paid lunches M-Th. - Location
: 100% in office in Bloomington, MN - Type: Contract to hire on permanent after 720 hours/90 working days

- Support payroll operations by maintaining and updating employee records, running payroll reports, assisting with payroll submissions, and resolving paycheck discrepancies
- Assist with billing processes, including preparing and submitting client service agreement requests and updates, verifying time records, managing client hour changes, and following up as needed
- Review and maintain accurate client service agreements to ensure compliance and proper billing documentation
- Provide basic office support, including setting up new hardware, troubleshooting computer, internet, or network issues, and assisting with general office projects and light administrative tasks
- 6+ months of experience in finance, accounting, payroll, data analysis, or related mathematical duties (internships accepted)
- Associate's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred
- Strong mathematical and financial aptitude with solid attention to detail
- Proficiency with computers and business software, including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
- Ability to create, update, and manage spreadsheet and document files efficiently and accurately
