- Manage and provide oversight of the day-to-day accounting processes, general ledger structure and financial reporting requirements.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly close.
- Support the timely reporting of monthly financial information.
- Manage cash flow reporting and forecasting as required.
- Ensure all monthly account reconciliations are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
- Compare actual performance to operating budgets/forecasts
- Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient policies and procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Responsible for directing the annual physical inventory count and monthly cycle counts
- Work with the CFO to ensure clean and timely year-end financial statement reviews and tax preparation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- 7+ years of proven accounting and finance experience in a small to mid-size manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of management/leadership experience in an accounting/finance role.
- Exceptional knowledge of accounting, finance, budgeting, cost accounting, cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High degree of business acumen and intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to think strategically and provide business partnership to the CFO.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook), and proficient in ERP software.
