Financial Analyst
The Investment Banking Associate is a key member of Quazar's deal team, responsible for supporting the execution of mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, and other strategic advisory transactions. The Associate works closely with senior bankers to deliver high-quality client service through rigorous financial analysis, detailed documentation, and effective project management. This role demands strong analytical capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment.
Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for an Investment Banking Associate at Quazar's Plymouth, MN location. The Associate will support all phases of transactions from initial pitch through closing, including preparation of confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and other marketing materials, as well as coordination of due diligence and review of transaction documentation. Responsibilities include building and refining complex financial models (DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution, and comparable company analyses), conducting in-depth valuation and industry research, and analyzing historical and projected financial performance to support transaction pricing and strategic decision-making.
Serving as a day-to-day point of contact for clients, the Associate will help manage communications, prepare materials for client and buyer meetings, maintain transaction timelines, and contribute to business development efforts by supporting pitch preparation and identifying new opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field required; CFA, MBA, or relevant advanced degree preferred
- 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, quality of earnings, or a related field
- Prior experience in M&A advisory, capital markets, or leveraged finance strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex financial modeling and scenario analysis
- Strong PowerPoint skills with experience preparing client-facing presentations and pitch books
- Working knowledge of financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Fact Set, or Pitch Book
- Solid understanding of GAAP, corporate finance principles, and valuation methodologies
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex concepts
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with professionalism, integrity, and a collaborative mindset
