Overview

Senior Government Compliance Financial Analyst - Disclosure Statement  will serve as the liaison between Honeywell and the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). You will analyze financial data, compute government rate packages, prepare audit responses, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. You will report to the Director of Government Compliance and Finance and work on a Hybrid schedule from Clearwater, FL;
Minneapolis, MN; or Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all segments; CASB DS-1 filings are accurate, complete, and timely, interpreting FAR, FAR Supplements, contracts, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) as applied to disclosure statements.
  • Maintain professionalism and accuracy when interacting with DCAA and DCMA. Effectively respond to inquiries concerning Business Systems, CAS, FAR, and Disclosed Practices.
  • Drive the Management Operating System for coordination of the Government Compliance & Finance Change Review Board, reviewing business cases for compliance and cost accounting practice changes.
  • Prepare materiality reviews, equitable adjustments, general dollar magnitude cost impacts, or detailed cost impacts as part of the Compliance Change Review Board.
  • Organize and lead internal control assessments related to costs and timekeeping compliance. Develop assessment frameworks to identify improvement areas and ensure adherence to internal procedures and external government contracting regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business, with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
  • Five plus years of accounting/compliance and financial analysis experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contractual requirements.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills.
  • Experience with FAR, CAS and U.S. Government Compliance is desired.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • CPA and/or Government Contract Accounting is a plus.
  • Strong financial and business analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent, self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to contribute to a positive team attitude.
  • Bias for action; results-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate across organizational boundaries.
  • Six Sigma certification or training is preferred.
