Operations Specialist Senior, Claims

** Job Summary
** Under limited supervision, reviews claims and discharge documents/reports per department procedures and regulatory requirements. In addition, this position performs quality assurance duties.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*** Processes discharge request/reports.
* Reviews pending queue to release questionable claims for timely payment.
* Reviews supplemental, partial and Teacher Loan Forgiveness claims.
* Performs timely audits of specialists and associates’ tasks.
* Updates loan information on internal claims system.
* Processes claim reports.
* Performs post claim sampling review.
* Researches and resolves problems with claim records.
* Assists the lead and manager with training of new staff and testing of system enhancements as needed.
* Actively participates in projects assigned to ECMC from the Department of Education.
* Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
** Required Qualifications
*** High School diploma or GED
* 3+ years of relevant work experience
* Basic proficiency in mathematical skills and concepts
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically with Word and Excel applications
** Preferred Qualifications
*** 1 year of experience drafting professional written communication and providing verbal communications to internal and external clients
* 1 year of working in the student loan industry
* Working knowledge of student loan industry regulations

The hourly pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, peer and market benchmarks, and geographic location.
This position is classified as hybrid and requires attendance on designated in-office days.
