Job Summary

Wipfli Corporate Finance Advisors, LLC (WCF) is looking for a talented and highly‑motivated Vice President to join its team in the Twin Cities office. WCF is the investment banking and corporate finance arm of Wipfli Advisory LLC, and offers a full suite of investment banking services tailored for middle‑market companies and capital providers, with a focus on sell‑side M&A transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Support the investment banking team on the execution of M&A transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of confidential information memos, pitch materials, and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to perform various financial and valuation analyses.
  • Conduct comprehensive and in‑depth company and industry research.
  • Provide mentoring to junior associates, offering guidance and support in various tasks and career goals.
  • Play a key role in supporting origination, opportunity evaluation, and deal execution.
  • Occasional travel, 35%
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required with a major in business, finance, accounting, or economics preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of previous experience in investment banking.
  • SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses preferred, or must attain within 90 days of hire date required.
  • Quantitative and data‑based skills, including experience in valuation and financial modeling.
  • Experience providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage several projects at once.
  • Must reside in or around the Twin Cities and be able to commute to the office.
  • Willing to maintain a hybrid schedule of at least 4 days in office.

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation. The estimated base pay range for this role is $142,000 to $191,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business‑related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws. Investment Banking Associates at WCF receive a competitive base salary plus a substantial incentive component tied to successful transaction closings.

Incentives are paid only when deals close, reinforcing alignment with performance. Individuals may be eligible for a commission plan, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and firm performance.
