The Senior Financial Analyst will drive value creation by leading initiatives, providing analytics and insights on performance, and engaging with finance peers across the organization. The Senior Financial Analyst will synthesize complex financial and operational information, analyze trends, and prepare reports and presentations in support of our financial planning and analysis, as well as labor analysis efforts. This position will be expected to collaborate across Operations and Network Planning departments within the Company, and coordinate with Business Unit Finance, Fleet, Treasury, Accounting, HR, and other corporate support functions.
EssentialRoles and Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed financial models of the company, could include long range forecast models, cash flow models, labor cost models, project finance models, Flight Profitability models, and/or other models as may be requested.
- Maintain, optimize, and improve upon existing forecasting and budgeting tools as necessary to improve efficiencies and increase analytical capabilities of the broader FP&A organization.
- Support Business Unit Finance as necessary to provide analytical support for operations analysis and decision making.
- Prepare cost/benefit analysis of proposed projects and investments; develop and support recommendations to senior management.
- Prepare ad hoc operational and financial analysis and special projects.
- Analyze relevant information, trends, and data to support decision making and forecasting.
- Support broader FP&A organization budget and forecasting efforts on select cost items, including items such as, but not limited to, aircraft ownership and leasing expenses, debt and cash forecasting, balance sheet forecasting, etc.
- Build effective presentations for communication to senior leadership and Board of Directors in support of various initiatives and projects.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2‑3 years’ experience in an FP&A and/or equivalent analytical role.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or other analytical field.
- Advanced degree preferred (MBA or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of airline economics preferred.
- Experience with financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work with all levels of the company.
- Excellent PC skills with MS Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint experience.
Range $75,000 to $95,000
