Production Assistant

NIVA ‘26 Onsite Event Staff

Civic Noise is producing the 2026 NIVA Conference and are now seeking onsite event staff. Employment is offered as an independent contractor.

The conference will take place June 7-10 in multiple locations in Minneapolis, MN and bring together the community of National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) members, affiliate members, agents, managers, and more live music industry professionals. These on-site positions are ideal for those who are passionate about the live entertainment industry and have experience in event production/management (or are looking to learn).

• Overseeing the setup of sessions, presentations, and other programming.
• Assisting with greeting guests and speakers.
• Providing an array of information to attendees, guests, and speakers.
• Supporting speakers & attendees check in at registration.
• Supporting sponsor and partner activations.
• Supporting speaker & stage management team.
• Supporting the site operations team.
• Helping to create a seamless conference experience for the attendees.
• Supporting night time parties and networking events.

• Team members must be available to work at least 3-4 days on-site, between June 6-10.
• Team members must be over the age of 18.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and guests.
• Ability to help resolve logistical and technical issues on-site with your team leads.
• Prior experience in events and event production (preferred but not required).
• Note that some of these on-site roles require occasional lifting of up to 30+ pounds as well as standing and walking for long periods of time.
• Seeking Event Runners;
  Driver’s License & insured vehicle is required. Previous event experience and general knowledge of downtown Minneapolis are a plus.

Pay Range: $17.00 - 25.00/hr

Average hours worked per day: 6-10
