Internship

We are seeking interns in the following areas:

• Highway and Municipal Engineering
• Bridge and Structural Engineering
• Traffic Engineering
• Transit Engineering and Planning
• Transportation Planning
• Intelligent Transportation Systems and Computer Automated Vehicles (ITS/CAV)
• Electrical Engineering
• Construction Administration & Surveying
• Water Resources
• Civil and Drainage Engineering
• Environmental Planning
• Landscape Architecture

Most internships are based at our Headquarters in Minneapolis, MN, but we also have opportunities at our offices in St. Paul, MN, Madison, WI, Omaha, NE, and Fargo/Bismarck, ND.

The chosen candidate could work up to 20 hours during the school year and/or up to 40 hours per week during the summer. Our internships have the potential for full‑time employment upon graduation.

• Current enrollment in Civil/Structural/Traffic Engineering, Biosystems Engineering (with a Hydrology or Water Resources emphasis), Transportation Planning, Urban/Regional Planning, or a related program.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills are a plus.
• Students with 1–3 semesters remaining to complete their degree are desired/preferred.

Compensation is determined by factors such as the position you are applying for, education, experience, skills, job location, internal equity, market analysis, and specific qualifications relevant to the role.
