Civil Engineering Intern-Infrastructure; Summer

Stantec is now accepting applications for Summer 2026 Civil Engineering interns within our Community Development Group in multiple locations throughout Minnesota (Twin Cities, St. Cloud, Rochester).

As an intern, you will work in a team environment gaining practical on‑the‑job experience while having exposure to community development projects. Most of your time will be spent working outside on construction activities. Projects may include urban design and planning, roadways, park and recreation design, multi‑use trail and pathway design, traffic engineering, landscape architecture, assessment and rehabilitation, infrastructure design, water and wastewater conveyance, and storm water management.

• Use technical and communication abilities to assist with completing the civil component of a wide variety of projects in a dynamic design team setting.
• Perform construction observation for project compliance with project documents and engineering principals.
• Perform construction administration duties including documenting construction activities, measuring of materials, witness materials testing, review of shop drawings, and providing general project oversight.
• Complete detailed reports as required.
• Assist with construction surveying/staking as needed.
• Communicate effectively with construction and engineering staff, clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Office duties if available may include assisting with CAD drafting and design, and preparation of plans and specifications, reports, and other project deliverables.
