Portfolio Project Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Portfolio Project Manager responsible for overseeing the execution of sustaining and new development projects for our optical and acoustic gas detector product group. This role involves developing and maintaining comprehensive cross‑functional resource and project plans, leading project teams in line with company development procedures, and adeptly navigating technical and project challenges to ensure timely and budget‑compliant deliverables.

• Manage the portfolio of projects for optical and acoustic gas detector products throughout their lifecycle, from initial design to end‑of‑life, including product launches and enhancements.
• Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of electromechanical products, including team selection, management, and communication with management.
• Influence and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the organization to ensure project success.
• Guide project changes and ensure successful execution within a highly regulated market or life‑safety products environment.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Over 10 years of successful project management experience with electromechanical products in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge and experience with electrical and software engineering.
• Proven ability to lead and manage multiple product lines/projects simultaneously.
• Experience working in regulated and automotive industries.

• PMP certification is preferred.
• Advanced technical degree or MBA is a plus.
• Experience with product development stage gate programs and Agile Methodology.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Familiarity with Confluence/Jira tools.

This position is primarily onsite, requiring four days in the office with one remote day per week, allowing for flexibility in certain situations. The environment fosters collaboration across engineering and project management teams, utilizing high technology and promoting strong communication and leadership skills.

This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Minneapolis, MN.
