Job Description
AECOM is seeking a motivated, technically-experienced team leader to serve as Senior Electrical Engineer based in Minneapolis, MN. This role is responsible for engineering design and modification activities related to electrical & electronic circuits, systems, and equipment in the built environment.

Lead the electrical design and coordination of complex building projects across sectors such as commercial, civic, education, and healthcare. You'll be responsible for developing power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems from concept through construction, ensuring integration with architectural and other engineering disciplines. This role includes client-facing responsibilities, mentoring junior staff, performing quality control, and collaborating closely with construction teams to ensure design intent is maintained through build-out.

* Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
* Makes decisions independently on technical problems and methods and represents the organization in conferences.

* Requires the use of advanced techniques and the modifications and extension of theories, precepts and practices of the field and related sciences and disciplines.
* The knowledge and expertise required for this level of work usually result from progressive experience.
* Supervision and guidance relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
* Receives direction on unusual conditions and developments.
* This position will involve working with a multidisciplinary team who work together to conceive, permit, design and provide construction administration support for small and large projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Designs power distribution systems, microgrids, lighting systems, etc.
* Performs Construction Administration services, including review of shop drawings, RFI's and review of contractor proposed change orders
* Evaluates feasibility of alternative design approaches in conjunction with senior team members
* Performs site/ field visits to ascertain existing conditions including equipment condition evaluations
* Organizes/plans projects to ensure quality controls and project criteria are met and within budget
* Assists in preparing proposals and presenting to Clients
