A utilities provider in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area is looking to hire an Environmental Engineer to support the closure and remediation of historical/retired coal plant sites (soil, coal ash, contaminated materials). This person will be responsible for developing project portfolios for long-term environmental compliance aligned with regulatory requirements (MPCA, EPA). This role will also include adding to an existing team due to increasing environmental project needs.
Consistent travel to project sites within an hour of the office will be required, but about 60% of this person's time will be spent in office in Minneapolis. This will be a long term, rolling contract with the duration ranging up to 10 years to support long term project initiatives. The pay range for this role ranges from $60-$70/hr, and pay ranges will be based on level of experience and technical skills.
This role will work standard working hours form about 8-5, but extended hours may be required for site visit days.
