Contract: 24 months or longer
Pay: $60.84/hour
Role Overview
As a Printed Circuit Board Layout Designer, you will play a critical role in supporting high-performance defense and aerospace programs. You will work closely with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to design and document complex PCB layouts that meet stringent military and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed layout design and documentation of printed circuit boards under guidance from engineering teams.
- Interpret schematics, part lists, and functional descriptions to create accurate board configurations.
- Utilize Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition toolset, including Layout, Valor, DRC Hazard Checker, Constraint Editor/Manager (CES), and Drawing Editor.
- Develop electronic library symbols, geometry, and footprints.
- Conduct Valor and DRC Hazard checks to ensure compliance with design standards.
- Validate drawings against project inputs for accuracy and adherence to engineering drafting practices.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 5 years in PCB layout design.
- U.S. citizenship required due to the nature of work.
- Expertise in HDI printed circuit/wiring boards for high-speed designs.
- Strong knowledge of MIL and IPC standards.
- Proficiency with Siemens/Mentor Graphics tools (Xpedition Design/Layout, Valor, CES, Drawing Editor).
