A top-tier MEP Design Build Contractor is currently hiring for a Mid–Senior Level Mechanical (HVAC) Engineering Team Lead to oversee engineering design, project coordination, and technical leadership across multiple commercial, industrial, healthcare, mission critical, clean rooms and institutional HVAC projects.

Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of mechanical/HVAC engineers and designers.
  • Assign workloads, review engineering deliverables, and ensure team alignment with project goals.
  • Provide technical guidance, professional development, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee and contribute to HVAC system design including calculations, equipment selection, layout development, and specification writing.
  • Perform and review load calculations, ductwork and hydronic design, and building ventilation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, energy standards, and client requirements.
Project Oversight
  • Coordinate directly with project managers, architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Plan project design phases, manage schedules, and support budget adherence.
  • Participate in design reviews, value engineering discussions, and client presentations.
Quality Assurance & Technical Excellence
  • Review technical documents for accuracy, constructability, and adherence to company standards.
  • Implement best practices for HVAC design workflows, software use, and project documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and project execution.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and responsive support.
  • Provide expertise during site visits, surveys, commissioning support, and issue resolution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field;
    Master’s preferred.
  • 7–15+ years of mechanical/HVAC engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software (e.g., Trace, HAP).
  • Strong understanding of ASHRAE standards, IECC, IMC, and relevant building codes.
  • Experience managing or mentoring engineering teams.
