Manufacturing Engineer
Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Engineer where you will develop, optimize, and document machining processes to support our production needs. You will play a critical role in defining tooling, work-holding, cutting parameters, and process methods for CNC manufacturing. Your expertise will support production teams by troubleshooting machining, quality, and equipment issues, while collaborating with programmers to refine toolpaths, G-code, and machining strategies.
Responsibilities- Develop, optimize, and document machining processes to support production needs.
- Define tooling, work-holding, cutting parameters, and process methods for CNC manufacturing.
- Create and maintain routings, setup sheets, and standard work documentation.
- Support production teams by troubleshooting machining, quality, and equipment issues.
- Collaborate with programmers to refine toolpaths, G-code, and machining strategies.
- Support new product introduction through process planning and DFM input.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet aerospace and quality standards.
- Lead or support continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
- Evaluate and implement new tooling, automation, and process improvements.
Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to support production success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 2–5+ years of Applications Engineering experience in CNC machining (aerospace preferred).
- Strong understanding of CNC mills/lathes, GD&T, and machining principles.
- Demonstrated experience with tooling selection, process documentation, and machining optimization.
- Familiarity with AS9100 and aerospace quality standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiar with Epicor.
- Experience with a variety of CNC Machining - Swiss, Multi Axis, Lathe, and Milling.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, NX, CATIA, or similar).
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Knowledge of automation, probing systems, and advanced metrology.
The work environment involves collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Quality, and Operations. You will be utilizing advanced technologies and equipment, including CNC mills, lathes, and CAD/CAM software. The role requires adherence to aerospace and quality standards, ensuring a meticulous and detail-oriented approach.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Bloomington, MN.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $90,000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Bloomington,MN.
