Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time, on‑site role located in the Greater Minneapolis‑St. Paul Area for a Principal Electrical Engineer. The Principal Electrical Engineer will lead the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components for innovative medical devices. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include overseeing schematic and PCB layouts, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to determine project requirements, designing and reviewing circuit designs, solving complex technical problems, and ensuring that all systems comply with regulatory and safety standards.
This role will also involve guiding and mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the strategic direction of the electrical engineering department at Cryosa Inc.
- Proficiency in electrical schematic design, PCB layout, and circuit analysis
- Experience with regulatory compliance and safety standards in electrical engineering
- Strong problem‑solving, project management, and leadership skills
- Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and firmware development
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master's or higher preferred)
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
- Prior experience in the medical device industry or related high‑tech industries is highly beneficial
