Senior Manufacturing Engineer – CNC Focus

Location:

Minneapolis/Monticello, MN (occasional travel to Watertown, SD)

Overview

Twin City Die Castings is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with deep expertise in CNC machining and a passion for process optimization and automation. You’ll work on high-volume and high-precision components across industries such as automotive, medical, and aerospace—driving improvements in cycle time, quality, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, program, and optimize CNC milling and turning processes (Gibbs

    CAM or similar).
  • Design and source fixtures, tooling, and custom equipment using 3D CAD (Solid Works).
  • Lead first‑run prove‑outs, process capability studies, and cycle time reduction initiatives.
  • Interpret GD&T, CMM reports, and customer specifications for manufacturability.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to implement error‑proofing and process improvements.
  • Support automation initiatives including robotics, PLCs, and inspection systems.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent technical background).
  • 10+ years in CNC manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong CAD/CAM skills and hands‑on experience with CNC programming and optimization.
  • Experience with automation systems and statistical process control preferred.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and problem‑solving skills.
