Senior Consultant, Lead Wetland Delineator (Mid – Level)

Join the team at ERM as a Senior Consultant, Lead Wetland Delineator. We seek a motivated Environmental Biologist/Ecologist/Scientist to lead field‑based wetland delineations and protected species assessments for land development projects in the Minneapolis, MN area.

In this hybrid field and office role you will:

• Perform wetland delineations using the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation Manual and Regional Supplements, focusing on upper Mid‑West states.
• Provide technical analyses in your specialization and support analyses outside the core area with subject‑matter experts.
• Assist with environmental assessments, including EIRs under NEPA, due diligence, habitat assessments, wetland delineations, Phase I ESA’s, and other related documents.
• Conduct field surveys, collect and organize data, perform research, write reports, and develop strategies and recommendations for clients.
• Support broader environmental assessment tasks such as land‑use planning,.Int Pber….pipeline and transmission line routing, renewable energy studies, and permit matrix development.
• Prepare compliance management plans and multi‑media permitting documentation for federal, state, and local agencies.
• Work within quality, budget, and schedule expectations while gaining basic project‑management experience.
• Collaborate with Partners‑in‑Charge and Project Managers to deliver exceptional client value.
• Serve as an integral part of the Impact Assessment team and support its goals.

Requirements

• Certified Wetland Delineator.
• BS in environmental science, biology, natural resources, or related discipline (minimum 3.0 GPA) or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant environmental experience (5 years preferred).
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Willingness to support field assignments 20‑50% of the time.
• Knowledge of plant identification, soil sampling, hydric soil identification, and hydrology indicators.
• Detail‑oriented with strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Experience creating detailed technical reports and spreadsheets.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, travel up to 75% of the time, and work independently.
• Team player with eagerness to learn, self‑starter, versatile, and service‑oriented.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Pay & Benefits

Annual base pay: $74,825 – $83,641 (USD). Pay may vary based on education, experience, certifications, location, performance, travel, and business needs. Thisանձ position may be eligible for bonus pay.
