Location
Based in the Midwest (Kansas City, MO; St. Louis, MO; Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; Cincinnati, OH). You will participate in a variety of field and office tasks related to planning and implementing environmental investigation and remediation projects.
Key responsibilities- Lead and manage field projects.
- Collaborate and coordinate work with subcontractors, internal support staff, and subject matter experts.
- Analyze data, prepare technical reports, and design and implement pilot studies and remedial systems.
- Provide motivation and direction to project teams, and benefit from mentorship opportunities to help your career grow at Jacobs.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, or a closely related field.
- 5-10 years of professional experience delivering environmental site characterization and remediation projects, including fieldwork methodology, procedures, and assessment/evaluation of data for various environmental media.
- Experience working on project sites and overseeing subcontractors.
- Experience leading teams toward a common goal.
- 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification.
- Master’s degree in engineering, geology, or a closely related field.
- Professional registration (e.g., Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist) or intent to obtain and maintain professional certification.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail when conducting field work and evaluating data.
- Familiarity with United States Environmental Protection Agency regulations, including CERCLA and RCRA.
