We’re looking for a Mid-Level Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist to continue their career at Jacobs – where we’ll empower you to learn and grow in the delivery of environmental site characterization and remediation projects for government and global private‑sector clients to make our world better.

Based in the Midwest (Kansas City, MO; St. Louis, MO; Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; Cincinnati, OH). You will participate in a variety of field and office tasks related to planning and implementing environmental investigation and remediation projects.

• Lead and manage field projects.
• Collaborate and coordinate work with subcontractors, internal support staff, and subject matter experts.
• Analyze data, prepare technical reports, and design and implement pilot studies and remedial systems.
• Provide motivation and direction to project teams, and benefit from mentorship opportunities to help your career grow at Jacobs.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, or a closely related field.
• 5-10 years of professional experience delivering environmental site characterization and remediation projects, including fieldwork methodology, procedures, and assessment/evaluation of data for various environmental media.
• Experience working on project sites and overseeing subcontractors.
• Experience leading teams toward a common goal.
• 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification.

• Master’s degree in engineering, geology, or a closely related field.
• Professional registration (e.g., Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist) or intent to obtain and maintain professional certification.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail when conducting field work and evaluating data.
• Familiarity with United States Environmental Protection Agency regulations, including CERCLA and RCRA.
