As we grow and expand into our new Minnesota facility, we’re looking for a driven Electrical Engineer to strengthen our engineering team.
Position SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer with experience in industrial control panel design and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Solid Works Electrical or similar and have a working knowledge of UL 508A, CE standards, and NFPA codes. This role is critical to driving improvements in electrical design, panel layout, and system integration across our equipment lines.
Key Responsibilities- Design and document industrial control panels using Solid Works Electrical
- Ensure compliance with UL 508A, CE marking requirements, NFPA 70 (NEC), and NFPA 79
- Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs
- Collaborate with mechanical and controls engineers to integrate electrical components into complete systems
- Support manufacturing and assembly teams with electrical builds and troubleshooting
- Drive continuous improvement in electrical design, component selection, and panel layout for performance, safety, and cost
- Assist with testing, validation, and field support as needed
- Proficiency in Solid Works Electrical
- Strong knowledge of UL 508A, CE standards, NFPA 70 / NEC, and NFPA 79
- Experience designing and documenting industrial control panels
- Understanding of best practices for component selection, layout, and safety
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an industrial or capital equipment setting
- Be able to build and assist in building an electrical panel from time to time
- Familiarity with PLC/HMI integration and panel wiring
- Experience with 3-phase power, motor starters, VFDs, and safety circuits
- Background in manufacturing or machine building environment
