The Project Manager III is responsible for overseeing large-scale physical infrastructure builds, with a primary focus on the physical layer. This role leads the design and installation of cabling systems, fiber optics, racks, and related infrastructure while ensuring compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. The PM coordinates closely with internal teams, contractors, and vendors and manages project budgets ranging from $10K to $5M.

• Design and manage installation of structured cabling, fiber optics, racks, and physical infrastructure
• Ensure all infrastructure designs meet NEC and NFPA compliance standards
• Develop build designs, materials lists, and parts inventories
• Manage and compare contractor bids and estimates
• Coordinate work with internal technicians, program managers, and external contractors
• Represent Technology Services in construction meetings
• Oversee projects through all phases of construction, including field inspections
• Manage project forecasting, timelines, and financials in collaboration with Program Managers
• Field‑intensive role with frequent job site visits during all construction phases
• Office work can be performed within the Twin Cities/WI metro area

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (10–15+ years preferred)
• Strong knowledge of NEC compliance and physical infrastructure design
• Experience with CAT 6A cabling installations, fiber optics, and campus communication systems
• Experience managing infrastructure builds and contractor bid comparisons
• Valid driver’s license

• BICSI certification (RCDD – Registered Communications Distribution Designer)
• Experience with RF tower construction
• Background in utility, telecom, or large‑scale infrastructure environments
