Quality Engineer – All Flex Solutions
Based in Bloomington, MN, the Quality Engineer will develop and support company‑wide continuous improvement strategies and controls that meet company, customer, and regulatory expectations. The role ensures compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, MIL‑PRF‑31032 and related quality system requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties- Collaborate across functions, leveraging quality and manufacturing expertise to troubleshoot problems, interpret data, and determine next steps based on a risk‑based approach.
- Have working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and MIL‑PRF‑31032 or similar quality system requirements.
- Create, revise, and review quality processes and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
- Responsible for customer quality activities, including contract review, quality planning, PCN, CAR, RMA, FAIR, and PPAP; develop customer‑ and product‑specific inspection criteria when required.
- Review industry and customer technical specifications to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Manage assignment and closure of audit findings, CARs, and RMAs; recommend and assist with implementation of root‑cause corrective action activities.
- Monitor and assure the proper disposition of materials and products in non‑conforming status.
- Proactively investigate, identify, and implement best‑in‑class quality engineering practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing operations, or a related field; prior related experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Quality experience with PCBs, flexible heaters, and assemblies is desired.
- Knowledge of statistical methods including DMAIC and Six Sigma methodology and software such as Minitab.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and visual aids.
- Ability to use complex measurement tools such as a CMM.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) and excellent technical, hands‑on abilities.
- Leadership skills, self‑motivation, and attention to detail, with the ability to set goals, provide constructive feedback, and build positive relationships.
Competitive base salary in the $65,000 to $85,000 range, based on experience and qualifications, plus annual bonus and profit‑sharing opportunities tied to performance.
