The Impact You'll MakeIn this role, you'll apply professional surveying judgment across a diverse portfolio of projects, translating records, data, and field information into accurate, defensible deliverables. You'll guide survey teams, ensure quality standards are met, and play a visible role in advancing projects that support infrastructure, development, and community growth.
What You’ll Do- Analyze and interpret deeds, plats, title reports, and historical survey records
- Perform complex survey and geomatics calculations to support mapping and platting
- Lead production of boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, existing conditions surveys, subdivision and CIC plats, registered land surveys, right‑of‑way and routing surveys, and survey exhibits
- Oversee QA/QC to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations
- Direct and mentor survey field and office staff, supporting professional development
- Coordinate project scope, schedules, and deliverables while communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders
- Support residential and development services through review of lot certifications, grading as‑builds, and foundation as‑builds
- Contribute to proposals, estimates, and workload planning as needed
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)
- Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, GIS, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive surveying experience
- Strong command of land surveying principles, practices, and regulations
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and common survey data workflows
- Experience with survey data processing and adjustment software
- Working knowledge of modern field equipment and data collection procedures
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Clear communicator with a collaborative, client‑focused mindset
- Multi‑state licensure or ability to obtain additional licenses
- Familiarity with transportation agency surveying and mapping standards
- Experience with alternative design platforms
- Interest or experience with UAS, LiDAR/HD scanning, and advanced data extraction
