Deputy Project Leader – Minneapolis, MN M.C. Dean, Inc.

Responsibilities- Run day‑to‑day operations of a project or project sub‑section.
- Identify, price, track, and resolve change orders.
- Plan and monitor cash flow against expenses.
- Maintain as‑built documentation as work is completed.
- Plan and execute project completion and punch list activities.
- Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work.
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
- Research and compile submittals, price change orders and prepare estimates.
- Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors and design professionals to resolve issues.
- Communicate with customers, the public, government and contractors, representing the company.
- Understand timeliness requirements for decision making, RFIs and documentation of verbal agreements.
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred). Minimum 5+ years experience.
- Related construction experience with five years at an electrical or construction contractor.
- Experience working on projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M.
- Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
- Experience with CPM scheduling.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles for technical plans.
- Strong interpersonal, written and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven planning and organizational ability.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, PDF, and computers.
- Accubid Estimating for Electrical Installations.
- Primavera P6 CPM scheduling proficiency.
- Willingness to travel to project locations as needed.
