Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a refrigeration/mechanical startup technician.
Responsibilities include completing startup checklists and commissioning equipment for industrial equipment (screw compressors, reciprocating compressors, evaporative condensers, evaporators, pumps and air handling units); diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment during startup; developing pump down and tie‑in plans; redlining as‑built drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment schedules and layout drawings; managing ARM/PSM documentation; performing mechanical integrity inspections; reviewing construction drawings for constructability and serviceability.
Travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have at least eight years of relevant experience.
Ideal Candidate- Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues; completing startup checklists; commissioning industrial equipment; interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Site construction safety training.
- CIRO/CARO certification.
Strong communication and organizational skills; takes initiative and can work with minimum supervision.
