- Partner with Tribal Nations and communities to develop curricular materials to implement Indigenous Education across Minnesota.
- Develop and maintain a statewide system of training and support to help districts align instruction, curriculum, assessment, and professional development with Indigenous Education standards.
- Collaborate with tribal governments to provide guidance on standards, graduation requirements, and related state policies.
Five (5) years of professional experience as an educator or providing guidance and expertise on K‑12 Academic Standards, OR a bachelor’s or master’s degree and four (4) years of such experience.
Experience must include:
- Leading Indigenous Education at a state, tribal, or district level.
- Classroom teaching experience at a district level.
- Knowledge and experience with Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
- Familiarity with Dakota and/or Ojibwe language.
