Bible Teacher

Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA) is a private school serving Grades Pre-kindergarten through 12 in Brooklyn Park, MN. We are an influential school of collaborators, innovators, and explorers grounded in Christian faith, empowering co-creators of tomorrow. MCA has an opening for a full-time middle school Bible teacher for the 2026-27 school year.

Essential Duties

• Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; models a consistent, daily walk with Jesus Christ in attitude, speech, and actions
• Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with students, parents, staff, and administration
• Motivates students to accept God's gift of salvation and grow in their faith
• Prepares course objectives and outline for the course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements/standards of the state and school, and submits weekly to the principal
• Lectures, demonstrates, and uses audiovisual technology teaching aids to present subject matter to the class
• Prepares, administers, and corrects tests and records results
• Assigns lessons, homework, corrects papers, and hears oral presentations
• Teaches rules of conduct
• Maintains order in the classroom and in other spaces on campus, as well as off-site school-sponsored activities
• Counsels students when academic and/or behavioral problems arise
• Discusses students' academic progress and behavior with parents
• Keeps attendance and grade records as required by the school
• Coordinates class field trips

Qualifications

Education and/or

Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Biblical or Theological Studies from a four-year college or university.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

A current Minnesota state teaching license is preferred, but not required.
