Elementary School, Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional
A school in St. Paul, MN is seeking a dedicated onsite paraprofessional to support elementary students in grades K-6. This full‑time, contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by assisting teachers and helping students succeed in a general education setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide instructional support to general education teachers in classroom activities
- Assist students with academic tasks, reinforcing lessons and promoting engagement
- Support students social and emotional development in a positive and encouraging environment
- Help maintain classroom order and manage materials to facilitate effective learning
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet individual student needs and adjust support accordingly
- Experience supporting elementary students (Kindergarten through 6th grade) in an academic setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and staff
- Ability to follow classroom routines and directions while maintaining a supportive and patient demeanor
- Familiarity with general education classroom environments and instructional methods
- Commitment to onsite work in St. Paul; remote or voice‑over (Voco) options are not available for this role
