- Full Day for Wayzata Public Schools Camp Explore (Kindergarten-4th Grade Students) at Plymouth Creek Elementary School. Summer Only:
June 15 - July 16 | Mon - Thur | 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM | 19 days | No school on July
2. Planning Day Friday June 12th 8:15 AM- 3:15 PM.
BA = $40.75/Hour, MA = $44.95/Hour. This position is not eligible for health and dental benefits unless you are a current contracted teacher through Wayzata Public Schools.
Position DescriptionThe Summer Learning Academic Class Teacher will provide instruction in English Language Arts and mathematics. The teacher is also responsible for creating a classroom environment which fosters learning and personal growth; to motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide an excellent education, in accordance with each pupil s ability; to establish effective rapport with pupils, parents, and staff;
and to work collaboratively with other staff members. Full day teachers will teach the AM academic component of Camp Explore and hands-on choice camps in the afternoon. Please submit your camp name/description in this application. Camp determinations will be finalized after staffing and student registration.
- Teach AM academic components and hands-on afternoon camps as part of Camp Explore.
- Must have a valid MN License.
- Ideal candidates should have experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated strategies that support diverse learners.
- Must have strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Must have the ability to build positive working relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Must be proficient with current technology used to support communication, academics, and student progress monitoring.
