Position Description:
Science Teacher for Wayzata Public Schools will design and deliver instruction to support the success of a diverse population of learners. Build positive relationships and collaborate with students, parents, and staff to foster a positive learning community.
Science Teacher, Long Term Reserve
Location: Wayzata High School
FTE: 1.0
Approx. Dates: 1/26/26 – 3/6/26
Compensation: starts at $220/Day
Candidates selected to fill the role will continue the district’s commitment to academic excellence through design and delivery of instruction that supports a diverse population of learners. The role includes building positive relationships and working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to foster a positive learning experience for the entire learning community.
Qualifications- Must have a valid MN Teaching License
- Ability to build strong and positive relationships with colleagues, students, and parents
- Managing classroom behavior
- Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated strategies that support diverse learners is preferred
- Ability to calmly and effectively manage a variety of unexpected circumstances
- Proficiency with current technology used to support communication, academics, and student progress monitoring
- Organization and implementation of school-wide testing protocols
- Maintaining applicable student records to demonstrate improvement in behavior
- Applying local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations
- Preparing and maintaining records and reports
- Operating a computer and applicable software applications
- Communication and interpersonal skills with coworkers, supervisor, and the general public to exchange information and receive work direction
