Job Description
The Assistant to the Chairperson of the Shimer Great Books School helps maintain the smooth functioning of the School’s day-to-day operations, particularly through maintaining non-sensitive records and other office duties; manages the School’s social media accounts and other promotional materials; develops and runs events on behalf of the School’s students, alumni, and prospective students; liaisons with the Department of Admissions on events for prospective students;
and maintains the School’s social spaces in Seybert Hall.

- Develop and run events for students, alumni, and prospective students.

Job Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled as a student at North Central College; preference will be given to students in the Shimer Great Books Program.
- Must be responsible, dependable, and willing to work.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be punctual.
- Previous social media experience is desirable.
- Applicants must provide reference contact information from a Shimer Great Books Program faculty member.
