LRC Student Tutor

Supervisor Title Associate Professor of Spanish;
Director of the Language Resource Center (LRC)

Description of Job Duties

• Attend punctually to the drop‑in hours of tutoring in the LRC.
• Organized and punctual reporting of tutoring activities in the LRC reporting system.
• Professional and responsible communication with tutored students and NCC faculty.

Approximate number of work hours per week 2-4

• Enrolled as a student at North Central College (NCC)
• Preferred recommendation by a professor in the World Languages and Cultures (WLC) department at NCC
• Preferred if enrolled in one of the WLC programs; qualified applicants enrolled in different NCC programs may also be considered
• Intermediate proficiencies in one or more of the languages taught at NCC
• Aptitude for working with students and professors in the WLC department
