Description of Job Duties
- Assist incoming first‑year students in their transition to college life by providing mentorship, programming, and opportunities to engage with other Premier Scholars.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in leading workshops and activities during the summer component of the program and throughout the academic year.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to students in the Premier Scholars Program and demonstrate leadership to the North Central College community.
- Facilitate various one‑on‑one mentoring sessions with assigned Premier Scholar mentees during their first academic year to support successful adjustment to both academic and student life in college.
- Attend all required spring 2026 and summer 2026 paraprofessional training sessions. Details of sessions will be provided by supervisor.

Approximate number of work hours per week:
Up to 40 hours per week when classes are not in session; 5 hours per week when classes are in session.
Job Qualifications
- Maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.5 or above.
- Maintain a good student standing in terms of on‑ and off‑campus conduct.
- Confirmed plans for continued enrollment as a full‑time student at North Central College for the 2026‑2027 academic year.
- Show and articulate an appreciation for and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Demonstrate excellent social and communication skills.
- Ability to work in, contribute to, and lead a team‑oriented environment.
- Genuine concern for incoming students’ transition to the North Central College community and sense of belonging.
