The Brooklyn Center Community School (BCCS) District is seeking applicants to join our teamfor the remainder of the 2025-26 school year, as a Technology and Digital Arts Teacher
. BCCS is looking for positive, energetic applicants with a deep belief that every student can learn, and having the commitment and passion to provide these learning opportunities. Teachers perform difficult professional work teaching a broad range of subjects or specialized subject matter(s), teaching special needs students, motivating students to achieve maximum potential, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the Principal.
This position will teach 0.6 FTE 6th Grade Technology and 0.4 FTE High School Digital Arts and Yearbook
6th Grade Technology is a course that helps students navigate the online world responsibly and thoughtfully. Based on Common Sense Media’s curriculum, students explore topics such as screen time balance, online privacy, cyberbullying, digital footprints, and media literacy.
HS Digital Art is a course where students learn foundational and advanced skills in digital art. This course focuses on the Adobe Suite with primary focus on Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience with design software and a commitment to student growth in a creative learning environment are essential.
Yearbook is a course where students and the applicant will work with Jostens to create the school's yearbook. This class includes an additional stipend.
Applicants have the potential to teach an animation class in future years. Adobe Animate knowledge is encouraged and appreciated.

- Maintains professional competence through in-service education and self-selected professional books and instructional materials.

- Participates in curriculum development programs, faculty committees, and student activity sponsorship as required.
