OverviewThe Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) will provide critical support to elementary schools by working in close collaboration with administrators, general education teachers, and other support personnel. This role involves developing and implementing intervention strategies that promote student engagement, academic achievement, and positive behavior within a safe and inclusive school environment. The TOSA will assist in designing individualized student support plans that strengthen academics, relationships, and foster meaningful connections with students, enhancing their overall learning experience.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with district and building administration to create and monitor intervention plans and systems of support.
- Consult with staff and provide instruction to small groups of K–3 students in core content areas in their own classroom.
- Work directly as a classroom teacher to support the implementation of academic and behavioral interventions.
- Assist with other duties as needed to support school and district goals.
- Elementary Education License.
- Experience working with diverse student populations preferred.
ASAP through approximately 3/6/26. The position may be filled 7 days after the initial posting by a licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license); or after a 15‑day posting period by a candidate eligible for PELSB Tier 1 or Tier 2 license, or OFP (Out of Field Permission).
Rate of Pay$50,029 to $104,251. Rate is based on full‑time equivalency and verified placement on the salary schedule, with 1.0 FTE being full time. View additional terms and benefits here.
