Description
The Blake School seeks to hire a dynamic part-time Latin Teacher for grades 9-12 capable of teaching all levels of Upper School Latin starting in the Fall 2026 of the school year. This is a 0.75 FTE, benefits-eligible position. Applicant review will begin Dec. 15.
Essential Responsibilities- Teach three sections of Latin at various levels of the Upper School curriculum
- Advise a group of 10-12 students
- Hold conferences with students and parents in fall and spring
- Participate in departmental, divisional and all-school initiatives and meetings
- Undergraduate degree in classical languages, linguistics or a related field with a strong preference for an advanced degree or work toward an advanced degree in a relevant field
- Substantial professional experience in world language education with a preference for experience teaching at the Upper School (grade 9-12) levels

Salary RangeThis position has a starting salary of $42,000-$64,400. This salary range includes the expected annual salary for this position. In making a salary determination, we consider professional experience, applicable qualifications and other job-related factors. Based on these factors, a candidate's salary offer could exceed this range.
