Position: Faculty Physician - Cardiologist: Electrophysiology (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor)

The Cardiovascular Division at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board-certified/eligible EP Cardiologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on an academic track.

The incoming physician will work closely with the Cardiovascular Division and Electrophysiology Section leadership to support and expand the University's clinical and academic missions.

Practice Highlights:
  • Well-established nationally and internationally recognized Electrophysiology program.
  • The position will focus on both clinical and academic efforts, with an emphasis on clinical work.
  • Responsibilities include electrophysiology lab interventions, hospital service, and clinics.
  • The role of Electrophysiology Fellowship Program Director may be considered, depending on experience and interests.
  • The program handles both standard and complex procedural care.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team of 28 Cardiologists (including 3 Electrophysiologists) and 18 Advanced Practice Providers (with 3.5 EP-dedicated).
  • Strong referral base.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in general clinical cardiology, with advanced training and experience in electrophysiology evaluation and patient care management.
  • Proven record of research publication and mentorship success.
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and/or fellowship-training program.
  • Board eligible or certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
  • Licensed or able to obtain medical license and DEA in Minnesota, and meet credentialing and privileges criteria.
  • Ability to obtain work authorization in the U.S. and maintain legal status under VISA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in large clinical research trials, grant submissions, and supporting postgraduate fellowship training.
  • Evidence of leadership in clinical program development and national EP leadership or service.
