Job Summary:

Job Description

We are currently expanding our program and are seeking a board-certified/board eligible Urology Oncologist to join the institute.

Principle Responsibilities
  • Clinical Responsibilities:
    Conducts patient consultations and assessments; educates patients and families regarding urologic cancers and treatment options.
  • Diagnoses and treats cancers of the urinary tract and male reproductive organs, including bladder, prostate, kidney, testicular cancer, penile cancer, and other therapeutic approaches.
  • Prescribes and administers treatments, including certain chemotherapy/immunotherapy, hormonal therapies, and targeted therapies; monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team including general surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, urologists, general surgeons, and primary care physicians.
  • Facilitates patient access to medical care through referrals;
    Foster collaborative relationships with referring providers to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Engages in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in the field and participates in clinical trials and research initiatives as deemed appropriate.
  • Contributes to the development of clinical guidelines and best practices through committee involvement and quality/improvement efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an approved school of medicine or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of urology residency and board eligible/board certified in Urology
  • Completed an SUO or other accredited fellowship/advanced training in Urologic Oncology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record
  • Robotic training and experience
Licenses/Certifications
  • Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
  • One of the following: BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) or Allina in-house BLS training (within 90 days of hire)
  • Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate required upon hire
  • Prescription Monitoring Program required upon hire
  • National Provider Identifier required upon hire
Physical Demands
  • Medium Work: lifting weight up to 32 lbs occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy); up to 25 lbs frequently
Pay Range

Pay Range: $522,496 to $549,994 per year. The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
