Overview
The University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) Medical School, Department of Pediatrics and Division of Infectious Diseases, seeks a Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on the academic or clinician track.
The physician will participate in clinical, research, and teaching activities of the Division of Infectious Diseases. Clinical responsibilities include inpatient consultation coverage and outpatient clinical practice. Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work and to teach fellows, residents, and medical students.
The successful candidate will have a record of excellence in clinical activities, including patient care, education, and research in infectious diseases.
About the DivisionThe Pediatric Infectious Diseases team at the University of Minnesota M Health Fairview provides expert clinical care for immunocompetent and immunocompromised children with a broad range of infectious diseases. Faculty in the division advance the health of children worldwide by leading research into pathogenesis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases. The division collaborates with the Division of Infectious Diseases in Internal Medicine and with the Minnesota Department of Health.
Responsibilities- Provide coverage of inpatient consultation services and outpatient clinical practice.
- Engage in clinical care, education, and research in infectious diseases.
- Utilize academic time to pursue scholarly work and teach fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric Infectious Disease fellowship-training program.
- Board eligible or board certified.
- Licensed or able to acquire medical license and DEA in Minnesota, and meet credentialing and privileges criteria.
- Ability to receive work authorization in the United States and maintain visa status as required.
This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC benchmarks. The clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range is $109,433 - $251,700, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE. University salary is dependent on academic effort.
