BKV Group seeks a Senior Project Architect with 15+ years’ related experience to join our team in the North Loop. Ideally, we are looking for a well-rounded, licensed architect who has experience in all aspects of the design and documentation for Development projects (e.g. Market-rate and/or Affordable Multi-family and/or Senior Living). Project related responsibilities include the following:
- Work closely with the Development Managing Partner, Senior Living Practice Leader and Project Manager to lead the design and technical documentation for projects.
- Implement code review requirements and respective documents to obtain review and approval of the plans for code compliance.
- Plan the layout of projects and coordinate and integrate engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval.
- Prepare scale drawings and contract documents utilizing Revit for deliverable packages to Contractors, Clients and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
- Prepare project production design and drawings.
- Construction document detailing and coordination of technical systems/envelope assemblies.
- Implement technical reviews as part of production process.
- Coordinate design and production drawings and specification documents.
- Must have four years’ college or university degree. Masters degree preferred.
- Professional license required.
- 15+ years’ related experience as a licensed professional required.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public.
- Proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation range: $110,000 – $125,000 annually, or commensurate with experience.
