Architect – Boston, MA
HGA is seeking a dynamic, talented and driven Architect or Project Coordinator who has an interest and curiosity in spaces where science and discovery happens! We're looking for someone with strong communication, presentation, time management, and interpersonal skills who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about advancing design. In this role, you'll work closely with Project Architects, Designers, and Project Managers, to develop innovative and technically sound design solutions.
You'll support the creation of detailed documentation while maintaining our firm's high standards for design quality and client service.
- Partner on the development of construction documents and ensure design intent is accurately carried through.
- Translate complex project goals into creative and functional design solutions.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate architectural and engineering systems.
- Participate in client meetings and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Partner to meet critical project milestones and deadlines maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.
- Develop concepts according to parameters defined by Project Manager or Project Architect, produce construction documents in Revit, assist with quality control, integrate and coordinate disciplines, maintain ongoing communication for project changes, and utilize past knowledge and experience to enhance product quality.
- Assure execution of, and assist with, quality control activities for architectural elements on a project.
- Keep lead architect or designated team leader informed of progress; recognize problem issues and seek clarity.
- Assist the Project Manager with schedules/budgets and provide communication as appropriate with team leaders and/or team members responsible for work flow/timelines, etc.

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture;
Master's degree preferred. - 5-8 years of experience required.
- Architecture license preferred or actively pursuing Architectural registration.
- Interest in working on medium to large–scale project types in a very collaborative environment.
- Strong 2D and 3D graphic skills; proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Rhino, InDesign, and other BIM technology essential.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, communicate clearly with team members and clients and have demonstrated the ability to oversee and be responsible for project delivery.
The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA's robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs.
Salary range $84,000 - $92,400 depending on qualifications and experience.
