SUMMARY
MCAD is seeking a Print Technology Specialist. This position oversees operations of the MCAD Service Bureau and Digital Print Lab. The Print Technology Specialist must be sensitive to college needs, employee and student goodwill, and overall brand equity of MCAD as an employer and educational institution.
DETAILSThis is a full time, non‑exempt position expected to work 35 hours a week. This position reports to Director of Print Technology Services and is paid $22‑23 hourly.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Service Bureau and Digital Print Lab:
- Process and complete campus customer request.
- Provide quality control and oversight of all production.
- Provide appropriate software and hardware assistance for customers and staff.
- Promote print production best practices.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and equipment problems.
- Act as primary print technology operator in the afternoons.
- Give or assist with classroom demonstrations and presentations.
- Provide one‑on‑one job consultation for all customers.
- Maintain calibration of monitors, printers, scanners, and creation of color profiles.
- Administration:
- Assist in reconciling department chargebacks, inventory, supply management, and staff scheduling.
- Act as secondary Paper Cut administrator.
- Administer online reservation calendar for Epson print stations in SB and DPL.
- Evaluate and test new hardware, product, and service offerings
- Create and edit documentation and publications in support of services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

This position has supervisory responsibility over student workers and casual labor employees in the Service Bureau.
REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree or equivalent in design or related field, required. BS/BFA in relevant fields preferred.
- One (1) year of general print/copy/production service, required.
- Technical knowledge of Mac computers, printing and finishing equipment, required.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite software, and knowledge of print/design concepts, strongly preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, strongly preferred.
- Some supervisory experience, preferred.
- Ability to work independently and delegate tasks to other staff as needed, preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work, preferred.
- Experience working in a college environment, helpful.
This position operates in a professional office environment. This position requires the ability and willingness to closely partner with team members and colleagues in other departments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand;
