Position: Client Relationship Consultant 1 (Banker) - Lake Street - Minneapolis (20hrs/wk)

Responsibilities
  • Build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up, identifying solutions based on clients’ needs by effectively engaging and communicating with them.
  • Interact with clients via in-person, by appointment, and virtual channels, providing counseling on deposit and loan products and services while maintaining a digital-first mindset.
  • Educate clients on digital products and self-service options to help meet their financial needs.
  • Greet clients, process basic transactions, and ensure a consistent, optimal client experience.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients.
  • Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications as needed.
  • Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience with accuracy and operational excellence.
  • Maintain working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital offerings.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typically has a minimum of one to two years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • Bilingual English & Somali OR English & Spanish
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
  • Basic knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
  • Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital-first mindset
  • Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer’s needs both reactively and proactively
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred
